Publication design for Cranbrook Academy of Art’s 2022 Graduate Degree Exhibition, held at the Cranbrook Art Museum. The book imagines each MFA candidate’s practice as a specific site framed within their departments, within the Academy, and within the larger intersectional discourses that enliven this time, making reference to Cranbrook’s bespoke radiating doors on the cover. Other custom linework and photographic framing make subtle references to the architecture, geology, and textural landscape of this strange and unique environment, grounding each artist’s work in Cranbrook as a shared site of practice and exploration.
