Fountainswimming is a new student journal at Cranbrook Academy of Art, co-founded by Ed Ryan (designer) and Peter Bjorndal (editor). The journal launched in Fall 2021 with ARCHIVE, drawing writing from students across the academy into a new cross-departmental conversastion. The goal of the publication was to offer an outlet for students to publish wrinting outside of the typical rhythms of departmental criticism, and to encourage experimental, lyrical, and poetic output in tandem with traditional theoretical writings.
